Jose Mourinho makes Real Madrid progress with Gareth Bale cost set

Manchester United are reportedly preparing for the arrival of Real Madrid star Gareth Bale with Jose Mourinho having funds made available for any potential transfer.
Manchester United are hunting Bale with the Real Madrid star’s future still shrouded in uncertainty.

The Wales international may swap the Bernabeu for Old Trafford this summer after growing fed up with life in La Liga.

Bale is due for talks with new Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui and, if he fails to receive the guarantees he craves, a move away may be in the offing.

And the Manchester Evening News suggest Manchester United are preparing for the possible arrival of the 28-year-old.

Unique Sports understands the Red Devils are in touch with Bale’s camp over a move.
nd Mourinho is reportedly ready to splash the cash to ensure the forward becomes a United player.

The MEN claim the 55-year-old has been discussing his summer plans with Ed Woodward.

And Woodward feels a deal for Bale may cost around £100million – an amount he is ready to pay.

Woodward wanted Bale to sign in 2013 but Real ultimately gazumped United on that occasion.

Yet the Red Devils may get the last laugh if Mourinho manages to lure Bale back to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp thinks the Real Madrid forward would be a huge United hit.

“They (Manchester United) finished second and could win the FA Cup but let’s face it… this is one of the most boring United teams,” Redknapp wrote in his Daily Mail column.

“If Jose Mourinho wants to change that, he should go and buy Gareth Bale. He has won it all at Real Madrid and won’t be fazed by the Premier League.

“United won’t be the only ones after him. If Eden Hazard goes to Real Madrid, I’m sure Chelsea would be keen on a swap deal.

“After a season of limited gametime, Bale will be keen to prove he is still a world-class talent. What better way to do so than inspire a team to properly challenge City?”
